Welcome to our secret hideaway on Singapore's northeastern rim. At the water's edge and beneath coconut trees in rhythm to the winds, we invite you to escape the hustle and bustle of the city with us in our version of paradise.

The club as it is known today, started in 1936 as the Changi Garrison Yacht Club, by a group of british soldiers from the royal engineers stationed here before World War II. Today it is known for having produced notable Singaporean sailors such as Benedict Tan (right), Siew Shaw Her, and Teo Wee Chin.

Sailor Dr BenTan won Singapore's first Asian Games Gold Medal in 12 years at the 1994 Asian Games at Hiroshima.

60 Years of Changi Sailing (1936 -1996)

The history of Changi Sailing Club is a chequered one, not unlike the squares on an "N" flag. This special Changilog-style issue hopes to capture a little of the club's colourful past in a readable keepsake form for posterity, before it fades away into obscurity and the springcleaning of yet another major renovation/rebuilding in the next decade.
