CSC Optimist Championships 2019 (Gold Fleet) Day 2
Sailors racing in the CSC Optimist Championships (Gold Fleet) had to endure the cold and rainy weather for Day 2.
4 races behind after a wet and wind-less Day 1, the race committee was determined to run more races on Day 2. There was a short postponement of the race in the morning as the weather still did not look promising. Fortunately, it pulled through in the afternoon, and despite the rain, the race committee managed to squeeze in a total of 4 races.
Recently crowned SEA Games 2019 silver medallist Kenan Tan is currently dominating the fleet, delivering 4 bullets for all 4 races. 14 points behind in second place is Jayson Tan, who had all top 6 finishes for today. Trailing behind on third place by 5 points is Ethan Teo. The top 5 finishers for today will need to work harder tomorrow if they want to climb in the rankings, as there are a substantial amount of points between each of them.
The NE breeze has arrived on schedule today – another day for the sailors to prove their worth.
Good luck and fair winds to all sailors!
