The final day of the championship for the Silver Fleet without doubt saved the best for last, as the sunny skies and steady North-Eastern winds stood in stark contrast to the weather tumult of the preceding days. With such satisfactory conditions, race officials wasted no time to maximize this and seized the opportunity to hold 4 races, creating more possibilities for skilful manoeuvres and intense competition!
Lim Yuk Pin (3880) emerged as the overall champion, showcasing his best performance with top 3 finishes in race 5 and race 8. Trailing behind him is Isaiah Yap Chor Hong (3946), who made a significant jump from 17th overall in the second day by finishing in the top 10 for all races today, a hugely impressive feat. Rounding off the top 3 is Lucas Lim Rui Kai (3355), his consistency throughout the last few days bearing fruit as he emerged the best of the rest in the Novice Category!
Among our CSC sailors, Sayawaki-Kogut Leopold (710) managed to pip Judy Zhang Sudjana (33) for 7th place in the Open Category, all thanks to his exceptional bullet finish in race 6 and third place in race 7. Nonetheless, Judy clinched a win in the Female Category, which is definitely an achievement that we are all proud of. Let’s not forget Martha Wazen (4689) who also had a fantastic regatta, achieving 14th place overall after demonstrating her coolness and clever strategy for each race. Overall, our sailors did an immensely commendable job, and we hope they had a great experience competing fiercely in this year’s regatta!
Congratulations to all medallists, and thank you to Xtreme Sailing Products for sponsoring the prizes for our winners. Also, great job to all sailors for putting in their best effort throughout these 3 days. Lastly, thank you to all race management staff and parents for making this regatta possible, and see you in the next championship!
