Twilight Series I 2025 - Race 4 | Changi Sailing Club

The afternoon of Saturday’s Twilight Race began with a light and slow South-Southeasterly wind direction. Southeasterly continues to blow enough for the boats to sail and fight the strong outgoing current down to Squance. A battle against the tide and occasionally gusty wind. In the Trimaran fleet, Bula, Ms Visayan and Dot Dot swopping places showcasing tactical skills and judgement calls as they approached the turning point. Meanwhile, on the keelboat category, Forever Young was leading the pack comfortably against contenders: Skybird, Jock and Nevis in the PY division. Jong Dee, in the IRC class maintaining her lead to secure first place against Simba.

Upon rounding the bottom mark, a drastic change in the wind direction, the Easterly wind strengthen and stabilizes as the race goes up to next point, Changi buoy. The battle continues in the Trimaran and Bula is now ahead of the fleet sailing on the last leg for finish. With only a minute away, behind her was Miss Visayan staying focused and determined to catch her on the last stretch. Bula remained ahead and finished 1st, Miss Visayan placed in 2nd. With only four (4) seconds behind was Dot Dot Dot, photofinishing between these 2 boats. What a great finish!

In the keelboat division, despite of nearly 20 minutes away from the last boat to finish, after corrected time Forever Young only managed to secure 2nd place. Nevis, emerged the winner of the day, 1st place. Joining them in the podium, Jock took the last spot finishing in 3rd place. In the IRC division, Jong Dee has succeeded to win the 1st place. Well done to the winners!
