Sailing Experience / Qualification:
Me and my family recently joined the sailing club. We have been living in Singapore for three years having moved from the UK. My family is a member of Aldeburgh Sailing Club in Suffolk where I learnt to sail since a young age. I used to sail dinghies: optimist, laser, laser 2, RS400. I also crewed in LochLongs (a local boat) and Flying Fifteen, all of which I raced competitively and won several regattas. I have also sailed and crewed on larger cruisers. I have a UK powerboat license and I’m Level 3 RYA but I also know how to fly and sail with spinnakers.
I am fit and healthy and can swim. I make a competent crew. I am mainly available to crew on Saturdays.

Other information: My work schedule will have me off two weeks at a time. Can help as crew for daysailing, reposition passages or boat maintenance. Currently working in maritime industry as deck/engineer.
Name: James Gordon Email: jamesgordonnz@gmail.com
Sailing Experience / Qualification; I am relatively new to sailing. I did the dinghy course in July 2021 and I just did the keel boat competent crew course (in January 2022). I try to go out sailing every weekend. I have previously been sailing dinghies (Pacer and Laser). Now I am starting to charter the Platu on weekends where we can get a crew of 3 or more happy to come out sailing. I am not the most experienced sailor but I am physically fit, very enthusiastic and practical. I am keen to join any boat that needs crew or hear from anyone who wants to share a weekend keelboat charter.
Name: Alfie Garrard Email: alfiecgarrard@gmail.com
Qualifications: RYA Yachtmaster Ocean, Sail Canada Keelboat Instructor
Sailing experience: I have 10,000+ offshore miles as skipper (including a trans-atlantic crossing) and spent a season working as a sailboat delivery captain in Europe and the Caribbean. As a result I have skippered yachts all shapes and sizes from 28ft to 55ft.
Racing experience: I was a regular crew member and occasional helm on a C&C 40 for the last 3 years while living in Montreal – primarily short course racing with some passages races. I helmed and won a 24hr passage race against a fleet of 14 yachts (line honours and handicap). My primary crew position is mainsheet and tactics, but I also have experience on headsail and pit. Limited bow experience.
I have also raced dinghies extensively and when I was younger I was in the Scottish national youth squad for the Laser class. Team racing experience from university.
I was a competitive sailor in my youth but now I’m just looking for a social boat to have fun, learn a bit and, if we place well, all the better. I work hard during a race, take direction well and will happily give my opinion if asked.

Crew Required for 42 Ft. Sparkmen and Stephens Sloop, participate in Saturday and Sunday Club races.
Owner: Paul Sneesby Email: sneesby.paul@outlook.com
Sailing Experience: Nice to have but we are all learning.
I would like if crew can be available on a consistant basis, we as a team can then train and improve and enjoy the racing, either on a Saturday or a Sunday or both.

Sailing Experience / Qualification: I’m a new club member and a recent arrival in Singapore. I’m looking to gain experience in different boats and to make new friends. I’ve completed three RYA dinghy courses and a basic keelboat sailing course. While I’m definitely not the most experienced sailor on the board, I’m very keen to help out and learn from others in the process.

Feeling humbled by the amount of sailing experience on the Crew Board and my lack of it. Which makes it strange to explain that I am looking to ‘crew’ but as more of a leisure experience along with my wife and daughter. Ideally a late afternoon experience during a weekend in August.

Sailing Experience / Qualification:
RYA Coastal Skipper License (rusty been sailing on and off) / In the process of getting the PPCDL.
I would consider myself a novice/intermediate in my sailing ability. I’ve done a few passages around Europe such as the English Channel, around Malta and Italy and the Canary Islands. However, there was always very competent crew onboard, and I crewed for most of these passages.
I sail Laser Dinghy’s for fun on the weekends and would love to rent either the Pacer out with someone or get enough people to get the Platu out.
Would also be very interested in crewing for either a short cruise on the weekend or long deliveries!
Other information
I am 25 years old, studied in the UK for about 6 years.
